Join Transgender Fantasy on Facebook

27 10 2013

I admit that I have not had enough time to update this blog on a regular basis.  I have more news in the pipeline, however

In the meantime Cheryl Sussex of Tranisa and I have set up a new open Facebook page on transgender fiction and media called Transgender Fantasy.

We are adding comments on new and old sites, blogs, movies and books of a TG character. Please do not hesitate to add suggestions to that page (or you may add a comment to this post)!

Interview with TGStories

24 07 2012

There is actually a small TG fiction and entertainment industry out there, including sites that offer quality fiction for a reasonable price. I had a chat with TGStories, the editor of the site with the same name.

What made you start writing stories like these?

Well, generally, I do not write the stories on the site.   I hire some of the most talented writers (I think) who have a real sense of how to write a TG themed story.

What I like about out story is that I think they are really sexy AND really great stories.   For me,  regardless of how provocative the subject matter if the storyline doesn’t make sense it is not a story I want to publish.

Who have influenced you?

It is funny, because I didn’t really know it at the time, but I think the person who made TGstories and my LULU store possiable is Lee Brewster.   Lee died in 2000.

Lee had two HUGE spaces in NYC that catered to crossdressers.  One store was all clothes, and the other was books and magizines.

Growing up, it never occured to me that there was TG themed fiction, so imagine my shock when one day when I was in my 20s I saw a title at a newspaper stand.  It was called  Teenage TV (yes I remember);  I thought I was in heaven.

After that, I was a steady fan of Lee’s books.   I started TGstories in 1996, so I really didn’t have a sense of how much the internet would grow…I really started it because of my personal love of the stories.

What are your favorite themes?

That is hard, because I think I respond to detail more than themes…  But, I think that I really like things that are feminine, so story lines that involve things like beauty parlors, and clothing stories appeal to me.

TG Life at Superpowers Unlimited

1 09 2011

Energy, image from Superheros UnlimitedSuper Powers Unlimited is an independent entertainment production studio. They publish original science-fiction, fantasy, transformation, supernatural, and superhero stories.

There is a special section called TG Life which has a collection of stories about men being transformed into women in a science-fiction or fantasy scenario.

Here’s one example to give you an idea of what this is about:

“Questioning his religion, a teenager invokes an unknown demigod and demands proof of its power. But when he tries manifesting the girl of his dreams, he ends up becoming her instead.”

or

“Five friends go camping in the mountains and discover a secret lake that, according to myth, transforms any who enter its waters into the opposite sex.”

The stories are very reasonably priced, so that should not be a problem.

The resurrection of TF Media

13 08 2011

As I reported in April, the TF Media site for TG captions and stories in no more.

However, now a new enthusiast called Osiris has taken over the data. He is in the process of establishing a new site called TF Media 2. The goal is to turn it into a new repository for cap and story makers.

Much of the material previously found on TF Media 1 is now accessible.

Osiris is looking for volunteers who can help sort out the existing material!

R.I.P. TF Media

20 04 2011

Another transgender story and caption site bites the dust, and this time it is one of the bigger ones: TF Media.

The short version of the story is as follows:

Since apparently this is too much for some of you to read (really? Come on.) here’s the abridged version:

The site’s going down, although the specific date is not set. It could be any day soon. Chat will stay up for awhile longer. Other sites hosted on the same sever, including Freya’s, will stay online indefinitely.

TF Media will provide a download link of everything on the site, so in theory people who have contributed to the site will not risk losing it all. That being said, having to sort through 3 GB of unsorted files sounds a bit daunting!

The reason the owner has decided to close it down is simple: He has too much to do, and the system is too complex for someone else to take over. That’s reasonable.

The most important lesson from all of this is this one: If you are story writer or a captioner, keep copies of everything you do! You can always republish it on your own TG blog (it’s easy) or in one of the forums.

Tranisa Videos

17 02 2011

Cheryl of Lost in Translation has set up a new site producing and presenting original crossdresser and crossdreamer videos.

The site is called Tranisa and contains a growing number of soft core video feminization fantasies for sale.

Cheryl says this about the videos:

“All of our videos are professionally filmed and edited showing the tranformation of Men into Beautiful Women. We cast real transvestites and transsexuals, real locations and realistic film sets, together with all of the latest broadcast equipment available.”

More transgender fantasy caption blogs

13 02 2011

It seems crossdreamers and crossdressers have found their favorite Web 2.0 way of presenting their fantasies: blogs.

There are new ones appearing every month.

Here are a few that has poppoed up on my radar since last fall:

Martha’s Caps
New blog presenting traditional TG caps, but that also invites input from reader. Mostly soft core, some more explicit.

Betty’s Captions
Colorful captions and some original type of art. A lot of Photoshop manipulation. Bosom fetishists will be happy about this one. Mostly soft.

Club Sissy
Club Sissy has set up a private captioning area that requires registration and log in. The idea is for visitors to be able to publish real pictures of yourself. Sounds risky, doesn’t it?

Dragon’s Fang Captions
A mix of different types of captions, and in different styles. Active use of Comic Life. Soft and hard core.

Emily’s TG Captions
Traditional captions and a few stories. Feminine soft core.

Extreme Captioning Afficionado
As the name implies, there is some extreme imagery here. Some girl on girl as well. Hard coire.

GG’s TG Caps
A number of traditional caps, soft and hard core. Not updated since November 2010.

Laura Jayde’s Caps
Traditional soft core caps with a lot of curvy ladies.

Lenochka’s blog
Photos with short texts added. Mostly soft.

L. Stark Captions
Elegantly designed captions, mostly of the soft kind.

Lolita TG Caps
Short fantasies illustrated with images of women in very colorful and girly clothes.

Modern Goddess – a shrine of decadence
Many captions and illustrated stories with beautiful girls, set up by Mistress Simone. Soft and hard.

Papa Dragon’s TG
The description says it all: Body-swappin’, pill-poppin’ and good old fashioned spell-droppin’. Mostly soft core.

Purse Boy
Traditional caps, illustrated stories, caps submitted by visitors and “moving captions”. Soft core.

Sissy Captions
Captions with a sissy theme. Some transsexuals.

Slutty Chrissy’s TG Caps
Explicit imagery with “forced” theme. Caps and illustrated stories.

sp2000
100 TG captions and counting. Captions and longer illustrated stories.

Smitty’s TG Caps
Soft and hard core captions and longer cap series.

Suzypossiblly’s TG Central
Includes explicit and non-explicit caps, but also comments on — and links to — other sites.

Tiffanystrappedtransvestitecaps
Males dressed through bets and coercion and kept as pretty “ladies” and maids forever! Or so it says.

TG Jessie’s Captions
Caps with curvy transformees.

The transgender phenomenon in the arts

8 08 2010

Take a look at Zagria’s blog A Gender Variance in the Arts.

She is looking at how artists have been including transgender themes in their paintings, sculptures, movies and books.

She is making active use of photos and video clips, and they entice you to explore the blog in depth.

There are also link to other “T-art” blogs.

TGstories – classic site for original transgender stories

22 01 2010

Given that there is so much free TG literature out there, does it really make any sense to run a subscription based transgender fiction site?

TGstories.com certainly thinks so, and I think they are right. The fact is that TGstories publish stories that are not found anywhere else, and since there is strict editorial control, you can also expect a certain quality. I have found many new high quality stories on the site, and the fact that the site has been up and running since 1997 means that there is a lot to choose from.

You can navigate stories by date posted, alphabetical according to title, and by category (under the “Signature Series” heading). But you can not sort stories after the name of the author, which is a shame if you have found one you like very much. Nor is there is a tag system, which might have helped.

The design of the site is simplistic and a little bit old fashioned maybe, but ut it does the job well. My only complaint is that the navigation menu is not included on the story and media pages. You need to use the back button to explore the site further.

The stories are presented on one single page which works fine with me. They are HTML formatted in a very clean manner, which means that you can easily print them out and read them on paper. This means that the lack of PDF files isn’t much of a problem.

In addition TGstories also present “Public Stories” found elsewhere on the net, but reformatted for this site. There are also a few comics and some streaming media.

My verdict: TGstories is definitely worth its subscription fee.

Fictionmania is back

1 06 2009

The giant Fictionmania site for transgender stories have been down for months due to severe technical difficulties.

Now, however, the FM team has installed a new server and recoded the whole site from MacOS to Windows. It is back up at the new Fictionmania.tv domain.

It looks exactly like the previous version, down to the large number of search features and the old fashioned way of submitting stories. It is much faster, though, and much more stable.

The absence of Fictionmania has been causing grief and severe withdrawal symptoms among many TG readers, leading — in the worst instances — to hate emails and a lot of CAPITAL LETTER online swearing.

It is over now, folks!

The FM team also welcomes new stories.
